She was Valedictorian of her High School graduating class, got her AA degree with High Honors from Indian River Community College, and her Bachelors degree with Honors at the University of Florida. She graduated from the UF College of Veterinary Medicine n 1990, winning the AVMA Senior Student Award for Clinical proficiency in Medicine and Surgery.
Dr Vaujin was born in Miami and raised in Okeechobee, FL.
Dr Vaujin started her career in Miami, but moved to Central Florida after Hurricane Andrew impacted her life. She returned to south Florida to open her own practice, Heroes, in 2007.
During her career, Dr Vaujin has worked at private practices, been the staff veterinarian at Orange County Animal Services, and done relief work. However her main focus has always been to help pet owners that are economically challenged. To that end she has been the Medical Director for Luv My Pet for 14 years. Luv My Pet is a national low cost mobile vaccination service that provides affordable vaccinations for pets, at various pet stores across the country. Luv My Pet operates nationwide, mainly in Petco Pet stores, and vaccinates hundreds of thousands of pets annually. You can visit www.luvmypet.com for more information or for a clinic near you. Dr Vaujin is licensed in 13 states and a member of the AVMA and several states' veterinary organizations.
Dr Vaujin has done volunteer work for United Humanitarian, by spending a week on the Island of Grand Turk doing spay and neuter surgeries for the local island pets and does other local charity work including cycling forThe Leukemia Society Team inTraining, the MS Society, and the Dolphin Cycling Challenge to benefit the Sylvester Cancer research Center.
Dr Vaujin is also currently involved in martial arts, and softball. She owns two dobermans, Christian and Miles, a tortoise named Ozzy, and two cats that live at Heroes, Trip & Screamer. To view pet health articles and alerts by Dr. Vaujin, click here.
Dr. Goldblatt graduated from Ross University in 2011. She spent her clinical year attending Louisiana State University Veterinary School. She has been an associate with Heroes Spay and Neuter clinic since May of 2012. Her passion is preventative medicine and internal medicine.
While attending veterinary school, she participated in multiple organizations including scuba club and PAWS (organization to foster and adopt stray dogs and cats on the island). Other interests while enjoying time on the island - she participated in hiking, intramural sports. and enjoyed time in the sun with friends.
Prior to veterinary school, she attended Florida State University, graduating with a degree in Biology and Chemistry minor. She was actively involved in the pre-veterinary club during her time there. Go Noles!!!
Dr. Goldblatt is a native to South Florida. Born and raised in Boca Raton. She returned to the area to be close to family and spend her days off enjoying the South Florida sun and lifestyle. She also enjoys traveling. She's had the opportunity to visit multiple countries over the years but her list is far from complete!
Dr. Goldblatt has two cats - Rex and Dakota.
Dr. Cometto was born in Columbia, SC and was raised in Lexington, SC.
She attended Lexington High School, where she was a six year Varsity Letterman in Women’s Varsity Golf. She won two state championships and a region championship during her high school career. She graduated Lexington High School with Honors and was in the top 5% of her class.
She was then awarded an academic and golf scholarship to attend Presbyterian College, a small liberal arts college in Clinton, SC. During her four years at PC, she helped the women’s golf team transition from a Division II team to a Division I team. She majored in Biology and Chemistry and minored in Spanish and Athletic Coaching. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and with honors.
After graduating PC, she attended The University of Georgia Veterinary School. She received the International Veterinary Medicine Certificate while at UGA. She was also awarded the AVMA Senior Student Award for Clinical Proficiency in Clinical Pathology. She graduated in May 2014. GO DAWGS!
After graduation from UGA, Dr. Cometto moved to Ft. Lauderdale to join our amazing team. Two of her main veterinary interests are soft tissue surgery and clinical pathology. She is also a strong believer in offering the best veterinary medicine at an affordable price. Another asset Dr. Cometto offers is her ability to speak Spanish, which is great for our Spanish speaking clients.
Some of Dr. Cometto’s interests include traveling, golf, the beach, sports, fishing, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She has two, four year old terrier mutts named Bogey and Bandit and a two year old Siamese mix named Binx.
